Connected energy. Accountable service.

A clearer way to manage electricity.

Josla connects smart metering, energy accounts and payments so property operators can manage services with confidence and residents can understand their usage and spending.

Introducing peGrid by Josla

The operating layer behind shared electricity.

It connects qualified smart meters, payments and support into one clear record for operators and residents.

One operating recordpeGrid

Meter data, accounts, payments and support—connected around the property.

How peGrid works

One connected path from property to people.

peGrid is the energy accounts layer between the supply and the person in the unit. Each step has one clear role in the service.

Private usage, payment and help

Designed to work with qualified meters. Compatibility depends on the model, protocol, authentication, offline behaviour and deployment environment.

How peGrid earns trust

Accountability is designed into the service.

One traceable record

Link charges, payments, allocations and corrections back to their source entries.

Honest data

Label what is measured, resident-reported or estimated, including freshness and missing periods.

Built for unreliable networks

Design qualified-meter workflows to recover buffered readings without duplicate billing.

Accountable operations

Give exceptions an owner, next action and auditable approval path.

Residents as first-class users

Keep usage, charges, payments and support private and understandable.

Two ways to start

Begin with metered billing or contribution accounting, then grow as the site is ready.

Two operating models

Choose the service your property needs.

Metered billing and shared contributions solve different problems. They can begin separately or work together in phases.

Questions to ask early

Clear answers before a deployment.

Final scope depends on the property, approved operating model, qualified hardware and agreed funds flow.

Do you replace our DisCo or IPP?

No. peGrid is designed as the energy accounts layer between the supply and the individual unit.

Can you use our existing meters?

Possibly. Each model must first be qualified for the readings, commands, authentication and offline behaviour the deployment needs.

Can we start without new meters?

Shared diesel contribution accounting can begin from agreed administrative records. Metered billing needs qualified meters.

What happens when connectivity drops?

The target design uses qualified meters and buffered readings so supported functions can recover without duplicate charges. The exact behaviour is verified per model.

Is the WhatsApp assistant live?

Not yet. Structured service flows are planned first; natural-language assistance follows only after it is tested on verified account records.

Partners and backing

Built with the right partners.

Each role is agreed for the deployment. A category does not imply an open integration programme or product endorsement.

Backing and recognition

Josla is backed by Vista Advisory, a principal investor, and was accepted into Access Bank’s Africa FinTech Foundry incubation programme. These relationships do not imply endorsement of peGrid.

About Josla

A decade of learning, now focused on energy.

Founded in Lagos in 2015, Josla explored fintech, IoT and digital product design before returning to the challenge at its core: making shared electricity services easier to run and understand.

Today, we develop connected energy operations for Nigerian properties and energy providers. Our long-term ambition is to build towards a national network of intelligent smart meters, one useful deployment at a time.
